ADDYs Call to Entries due Jan. 9

It's now or never when it comes to showing your best creative from 2008. ADDY®entries should be delivered to Grandma’s Sport Garden’s “Quarterback Lounge” in Duluth from 5-7 pm, Friday, January 9. Parking is available in back of the Canal Park building, where you can take advantage of the valet carry-in service or come inside to enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a free cocktail.

Mmm, free cocktail
No ADDYs? No problem. Be sure, however, to come mingle with fellow Ad Fed folk over a free drink and snack-a-licious food upstairs at Grandma’s Sports Garden from 5-7 pm Friday. Call it a winter social. Just don’t call and say you can’t make it. C’mon, who doesn’t like a hot mug of cocoa (or a stiff rum and Coke) this time of year?

Speaking of ADDYs, who can enter?
Anyone named Addy, or any AAF member, non-member* or college student. So, basically anyone. A panel will judge the work January 16, with awards to be presented February 21 at the annual gala event at Greysolon Plaza. (That’s right, a new venue and other delights are in store this year-including dueling pianos!) Click to register or get prices, rules or a list of categories. *If you’re not an AAF member, this is the perfect time to join to save oodles on those entry fees. Remember, winning creative entries go on to compete among the best in the Midwest and nation.

Student ADDYs
Student ADDY entries should be submitted from 3-5 pm, February 5, 2009 at Duluth Business University. Learn more.

Want an ad/marketing career?

AAF invites college students and others to attend the 2009 Mosaic Career Fairs this February and March, in Chicago; Universal City, Calif.; and McLean, Va. In 2008, nearly 500 college students from across the country and representatives from 80 top advertising, marketing and media companies participated in the Mosaic Career Fairs, sponsored by Gannett, USA TODAY, Leo Burnett USA and The Walt Disney Co. The fairs feature career development workshops, panel discussions with industry professionals, one-on-one resume and portfolio critiques, a recruiters expo with some of the country's top advertising, marketing and media companies and on-site interviewing.
