AAF SEEKS NOMINEES FOR SILVER MEDAL AWARD
DULUTH, Minn. (December 22, 2009)—AAF Duluth/Superior, the local chapter of the American Advertising Federation, seeks nominations for the 2010 Silver Medal Award. Nomination forms, which can be downloaded at www.aafduluthsuperior.com, are due January 29, 2010.
The Silver Medal Award is the Ad Fed's highest honor. Founded nationally in 1959 and established locally in 1979, it recognizes men and women who have made outstanding contributions to the advertising and marketing industry and who have been active in furthering creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern. Specifically, candidates are judged on their merits in four areas:
- Contribution to his or her organization

A committee of past Silver Medal Award winners will review nominations and vote on the 2010 winner, who will be presented the award on Friday, March 4, during the AAF Duluth/Superior’s 34th annual ADDY®Awards ceremony at the Zeitgeist Arts Café in Duluth.
“This is the highest local honor in the industry. By nominating someone for the Silver Medal Award, you’re not only showing your support for that individual, you’re enhancing the image of advertising and marketing in the area,” said Nicole Sandman, AAF Duluth/Superior past president. “We strongly encourage people to take a moment to submit a nomination.”
