The word on the street. By the people who put it there.

AAF Duluth/Superior supports Google Twin Ports.
3/16/2010

We're calling on you to do the same!

Everyone in this region could benefit from this potential $100 million investment in our community. Already Duluth/Superior is hearing from businesses interested in moving here because of all the national attention our effort is receiving. For instance, from videos like this one featuring Al Franken  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2i_piWVXuc

Please sign up-and spread the word.

In the race to the March 23 submission deadline, we're all working fast and furiously to spread the word-and show Google that our community supports the project.

Google Twin Ports asks that you do 3 easy things:

We're out to convince Google to build an ultra-high speed fiber network in the Twin Ports. This system will bring fiber-optic connections to every home and business at speeds of one gigabit per second, up to 1000 times faster than existing "high-speed" Internet connections.

Our success depends on YOU taking three simple steps:

1) Go to www.googletwinports.com and join the team.

2) There you can create a free Google account (if you don't have one):  http://www.lakesuperioradfed.org/maint/www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount

and submit a nomination directly to Google:

http://www.lakesuperioradfed.org/maint/www.google.com/appserve/fiberrfi/public/options

3) Join our Facebook group, http://www.lakesuperioradfed.org/maint/www.googletwinports.com/facebook and post your confirmation code from step 2 to Facebook.

Folks are fired up about this. Duluth is on the national map as a forerunner in this contest. Let's make this happen: we have just a few weeks until the deadline. Thanks for your help!
